Glen Stevenson

Founder
Hi, I’m Glen Stevenson, the founder of Stevenson Construction. My journey in the building industry began straight after finishing high school in 1998.

I completed a four-year carpentry apprenticeship with a local builder known for exceptional work on architectural and heritage renovations, which laid a strong foundation for my passion for high-quality construction.

After gaining hands-on experience as a subcontractor, I moved into commercial fit-outs, working on major projects such as the Austin Hospital, Glenferrie Hospital, and the State Bowls Centre. I then joined John Holland, where I worked my way up from carpenter to structures supervisor. During my time there, I contributed to a range of iconic infrastructure projects, including Eastlink, the Melbourne Airport Taxiway upgrade, the North-South Pipeline, the Springvale Road Rail Separation, and Epping Station.

In 2012, my family and I relocated to Esperance, WA, where I led the construction of a tunnel, bridge, and noise walls for the Esperance Port Access Corridor Project. After two and a half years, we returned to Melbourne, and in 2014 I established Stevenson Construction to achieve a better work-life balance and spend more time with my family.

To complement my on-site experience, I’ve also completed formal qualifications in the building industry, including a Certificate IV in Building & Construction (MBAV, 2010) and a Certificate III in Building & Construction (Swinburne TAFE, 2003).

Away from work, I’m a keen sports lover—fishing, golf, soccer, AFL, cricket—you name it. With four kids who all play soccer, life is always busy. I coach junior girls at the Healesville Soccer Club and proudly serve on the committee, helping with sponsorships and community involvement. You’ll also often find me walking through the Yarra Valley with our black Labrador, Zeus.

At Stevenson Construction, I bring together my technical skills, industry experience, and community values to create homes and spaces that truly reflect each client’s vision.

About Glen

I wanted to build more than homes - I wanted to build a business that values people, balance, and long lasting relationships.
